Two of the main contributors to the appearance of aged skin are the loss of collagen, which provides support and thickness to the skin, and elastin, which allows the skin to snap back when stretched.
Biostimulant skin treatments turn the clock around by increasing both the skin’s production of healthy collagen and elastin, resulting in increased firmness and smoother skin anywhere on the body. Once new tissue is produced, it takes about two years for it to disappear.

POLYCAPROLACTONE (PCL)
Polycaprolactone (PCL)is a biocompatible and biodegradable material that stimulates collagen and elastin synthesis. It’s been successfully used in tissue engineering and wound repair for more than 70 years. PCL is used for absorbable sutures, contraceptive implants and for 3D tissue and/or organ replacement. Polycaprolactone degrades slower than polylactic acid (Sculptra®), prolonging the duration of results beyond two years.
