Repair & Regrow- Harness the Healing Powers of Your Own Cells

Regenerative medicine is a game-changing area of medicine with the potential to fully heal damaged tissues and organs, offering solutions and hope for people who have conditions that today are beyond repair.

Adipose-derived Healing Factor and Stem Cell Treatments

Using healing factors & stem cells obtained from a sample of your own fat to treat conditions associated with aging & diseases is one of the most exciting topics in today’s medical news. Stem cell treatments have been used for more than 40 years in the form of bone marrow transplants but in the last few years, it’s been found that there are abundant stem cells in fat. And most people are more enthusiastic about giving up some of their fat than their bone marrow.

It’s well known that facial fat grafting results in improved skin texture & appearance, which is the result of the work of stem cells & other growth factors contained in the fat. Stem cells obtained from adults have the ability to replace dying cells and regenerate damaged tissue. These special cells are attracted to areas of injury & disease where they can change into a variety of cell and tissue types—including bone, cartilage, blood vessels, muscles, nerves, and skin. Stem cell treatments have shown promising results in severe arthritis & orthopedic injuries, cardiac disease, multiple sclerosis, spinal cord injuries, diabetes & autoimmune diseases.

In orthopedics, adult stem cells have been deployed to promote healing of fractures and, when injected into injured or degenerated knee, elbow, shoulder, and hip joints, to stimulate cartilage growth, decrease pain, and increase function.

Since many of our patients seeking aesthetic treatments are at an age that they’re experiencing problems like arthritis, and our goal is to help people look & feel better both from the outside as well as the inside, we offer regenerative therapies including fat-derived stem cells & PRP (platelet rich plasma).

The procedure for fat-derived stem cell therapy involves obtaining a few ounces of fat by mini-liposuction done with local anesthetic, separating out the stem cells from the fat, and returning them either by IV or injection. The entire process takes less than three hours.

Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP)

Several components in blood are important to the healing process and if isolated & concentrated, help accelerate healing. These components are types of growth factors, also called “cytokines”, stimulate the growth of new cells. PRP is the portion of the blood containing the platelets that has been separated from the red blood cells.

PRP is used as a therapy for many conditions including tendonitis, muscle strains, damaged skin, hair loss, & even for severe dry eyes. The procedure is quick, relatively painless, and requires no post procedure care or time off from daily events. A small amount of blood will be drawn from you, the PRP is separated out, and it’s then used for your treatment.
