How does the RHA®   collection of fillers differ from the other hyaluronic fillers available?

RHA®  (which stands for Resilient Hyaluronic Acid) fillers are made of longer strands of hyaluronic acid that are more similar to the hyaluronic acid in your skin so they stretch with your skin during facial animation. This makes them an excellent choice for filling dynamic skin lines, which are the creases that form from muscle movement.  For people who don’t want to limit their facial muscle movement with products like Botox, RHA fillers can smooth the lines without affecting the muscles.

What is the Difference Between the 4 RHA Fillers?

There are four RHA® fillers in the RHA® collection that differ in density and are used for different goals.

RHA ^® 1 (now named, Redensity) is the lightest RHA filler used to smooth the highly mobile lipstick and necklace lines and results last roughly twelve months.

RHA ^® 2 is comparable to Juvederm Volbella or Restylane Refyne & is used for circles under the eyes, crow’s feet, vertical cheek lines and other surface lines.

RHA^® 3 adds more volume than Redensity or RHA 2 which makes it most similar to Juvederm Vollure or Restylane Defyne. It’s used to fill shallow lines or depressions and to enhance the lips or cheeks.

RHA^® 4 is most similar to Juvederm Voluma or Restylane Contour. It’s the thickest filler in the family and is used to fill deep lines and folds or to restore volume and definition to the cheeks, chin and jawline.

How Long Do RHA Fillers Last?

The results of RHA filler treatments are immediate and the results of RHA 2, 3, and 4 last an average of about eighteen months, while Redensity’s results last about twelve months. As with any hyaluronic acid filler, the duration of results can vary depending on the areas treated, your age, the product used, and the quality of your skin.
